The Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) course teaches students how to be a manager of an Agile program, product, or IT development in a complex environment. Traditional Scrum courses take a myopic view of the Product Owner role, ignoring large aspects of product management. Through this lens, it teaches students specific tactics and strategies for maximizing the flexibility and responsiveness of software product creation.
Professional Scrum Product Owner is a two-day course that provides the foundational knowledge needed to work with Scrum in a highly practical way. The course is a combination of instruction and team-based exercises where students experience how the Scrum framework improves product development efforts.
Students develop and solidify this understanding through instruction and team-based exercises. The breadth of the role’s responsibilities in delivering a successful product becomes clear from an Agile perspective on product management. Metrics are identified to track the creation of value and its successful delivery to the marketplace. This defines the perspective from which the role of the Product Owner in the Scrum framework is taught.
